My guest today and I met during her first season at Club Med Cancun in May 2004. She was part of the waterski team and a fellow Montrealer. Everyone, please help me welcome Jo Pilon! Before Club Med, Jo was a competitive wakeboarder and a Quebec champion. She grew up in a small lakeside town, which gave her a somewhat sheltered upbringing. Arriving at Club Med was a real eye-opener, especially with 22 different nationalities all working together that season. Jo fully embraced the mix of cultures, age groups, and lifestyles among her fellow G.O.s, and she looks back on the experience as both meaningful and rewarding. In this interview, she shares a hilarious story about a night out at Dady’O’s, along with many more memories from her first season.
